Our History

Our winery was founded in the 1940s and we have been running it for 4 generations.

Situated in the north of the Lot et Garonne, on the border of the Gironde and the Dordogne, we now operate a 37 hectare property in Côtes de Duras. On clay-limestone hillsides, our vines are exposed South/South-West for a sunny climate favourable to the good maturity of the grapes.

Our parents, winemakers at heart, started bottling their harvest in 1981. They criss-cross the countryside and villages to sell their wine. First the red, then the dry white, the sweet white and finally the rosé. The range is growing as time goes by.
Business is starting to grow, le Domaine De La Tuilerie La Breille is expanding and the winery is modernizing. Naturally, we, the children and our spouses, continue along the path traced by our elders, respecting the traditions and values that our parents have passed on to us.
Working in the vineyard and making wine is a passion for our family.
Our work in the vineyards is carried out throughout the year, season after season. Meticulous and rigorous care accompanies each step of the work in the vineyard as well as for the elaboration of ours wines.

This know-how and daily work allow us to obtain quality grapes at harvest time. Work in the vineyard are realized over the 4 seasons.

After a mechanical harvest, place to work in the winery. We traditionally vinify our wines with temperature control in order to preserve all the aromas. After a few months in vats or barrels, the wine is bottled at the property.

After bottling, we go to the markets, fairs and exhibitions and welcome people to the Domaine de la Tuilerie La Breille, to meet us to make you discover, tasting our wines is for us a unique and important moment.
